Self portraits...

I caught Dreyton taking pictures of himself the other day and just wanted to post some of them. He is so funny. He has been so worried about his looks lately. Every morning he puts on an outfit and comes and looks in my mirror and says "Does this make me look cute?" or "Do these shoes look ok with my clothes.". Dustin thinks he is getting too much feminine influence in his life. I just think it is funny.

Otter Creek Weekend

Last weekend we went over to Otter Creek with the Rowleys, Mechams and Remps. We rode four wheelers and fished in the little fishing pond that was right behind the cabin we all stayed in. Dreyton was soooo excited about catching fish. Jace loved the four wheeler rides and would say "Yeeee-ha. Scary! Yeeee-ha. Scary!".

I just thought this was a cool picture, so I thought I'd throw it in. We saw these on the ride to Otter Creek.

Dreyton thought it was pretty funny to put the lizard that he caught on top of Dustin's hat. Dustin was so good and pretened he didn't know what was going on.

I think Jace's favorite part of the trip was playing pool.
Going for a ride with Grandma.

More Party pic's

Here is a picture of my parents and all the grandkids. By August, there will be two more to add to the picture.

Happy 60th!

Happy 60th! We had such a fun weekend! For the past couple of months, me and my brothers and sisters have been planning a surprise 60th birthday party for my mom and dad. My dad's birthday is in April and my mom's in June, so we picked a date that was right in the middle. Anyway, everything finally came together this weekend. We surprised my parents by having them picked up in a hurst (is that how you spell it?) and had it drive them to the church, where we had a room decorated all in black with lots of food and pictures of them. The pictures were of them throughout their life and were so fun to look at. My dad said he had never even seen some of the pictures before (good job on the pictures Mel). Tons of people showed up, even freinds that they hadn't seen for over 30 years! My parents were in complete shock! Then the next day our family rented the rollerskating rink, which was soooo fun. Everyone skated, and I'm sure we all went home with bruises from falls, I did at least anyway, my butt is killing me! We met at my parents house after that where all of us kids had a little tirbute for them. We each thought up a funny story from the past and then brought something that represented it to give to them. There were so many funny stories, like raising chickens in our basement, dressing up as Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, mom's ear shattering sneezes, mom crawling out the bathroom window. There were a bunch of others too, I just can't remember them all, but we were laughing so hard. Then after that, we gave my parents a present that we had all pitched in on, we are sending them to go and see Les Mis down at Tuacahn. They seemed excted about it, and I can't wait to hear how it goes. It was such a fun weekend. I think the funniest thing that happened was when my mom and dad had an indian leg wrestle. My mom is unbeatable! All of us kids were able to be there except for Katie, but she came on Sunday to spend time with my parents, so I was excited about that. Well, once again, mom and dad, Happy 6oth birthday!

Giddy'up Cowboy

Jace loved the cowboy hat and horse that Dreyton made at preschool. It entertained him for days. He galloped around the house yelling "Giddy'up Cowboy!"

Dreyton's Graduation

Dreyton was soooo excited to graduate (even though he has one more year of preschool), until we got there and he saw how many people would be watching him. There were 60 kids graduating, so you can imagine how many family member were there to watch! He only freaked out for a little bit though and then sat in his chair with his cap pulled over his entire face for the majority of the program. When it was his turn to say his line in the program, he did so good though! I was sooo proud of him! I am such a nerd and watching him made me get all teary eyed. I was so glad that he had his best friend there with him for support. Those two are inseperable. He lives next door to us and are in the same pre-school , swim class and primary class. You'd think they'd get sick of each other, but they never do. It is so fun!

All the kids played "Mary had a little lamb" on their recorders. I don't think we would have known what they were playing if the teacher hadn't of told us. It was so cute to watch! Dreyton was so excited when he received his diploma. Enlarge the second picture and look at the name on the chair next to Dreyton. Yes....the kid that sits in that chair is actually named "T-ball". No joke! Me and Dustin were wondering if the parents are going to change his name as he gets older to things like "Babe Ruth" or "City League".

Another picture of Dreyton and his best buddy!
