Grandma Riding

Grandma Riding past away today. She is such a wonderful person, and everyone loved her! She always greeted everyone with a smile and welcomed everyone into her home. We will miss her so much!

She is so talented and loved to paint. This picture was taken just a couple of days ago with the beautiful picture that she painted for us. We left her house after visiting with her, to head home
when I had a feeling we should turn around and drive back so we could get a picture with her holding it. I am soooooo glad we did. I feel so lucky to have had her in our lives for the time we did. Her funeral will be next Wednsday...on her and Grandpa Ridings 60th anniversary.

A few Things that I Love...

Just thought I'd write down a few things that I love.
*I love that I have to record Nascar and Football for the boys instead of cartoons. Even though the end is always the same, they can watch it over and over again. I think it is hilarious that my 3 year old can name most of the Nascar drivers. I really don't know where this love came from either. I also love that he is his own person and even though Dustin likes Jeff Gordon, it doesn't change who Jace likes....good ol' Jimmy Johnson
*I love that at the school Reflections Contest tonight, Dreyton only got a certificate of participation, but in his eyes he won. He came and sat down and said "I can't Believe I Won 1st Place!!" He was oblivious to the other 20 kids that were called up next to him and got the same prize and certificate.
*I love that I never know what I am going to find when I do laundry for two little boys. I search their pockets before I put them in the wash and have found rocks, bb's, mouse bones, chicken bones, live worms, dead potatoe bugs, lady bugs and tons of other 'treasures'.
*I love that wherever the boys are at in the house, if they hear their dad teasing or tickling me, they run to my defense and attack him. They are my best protectors.
*I love that I spend so much time working in my flower garden to make it look good, and whithin seconds the boys have picked the flowers and are handing them to me with nothing but love and excitement on their faces. There is nothing better than a cup full of your picked garden flowers sitting on your table....even if they don't have any stems on them. Oh yah....and dandylions are always considered a flower...not a weed.
*I love that Dustin is just as big of a kid as the boys are and every single night is a wrestling match, football game, baseball game, or some other game or competition. It is hilarious! The best entertainment ever.
*I especially love that I am only 24 years old. I guess I will finally have to turn 25 this year since Dreyton asked "How many years are you going to be 24 anyway.". Time to get older I guess.

That's all the rambling I have for now.

1st Day of School

Dreyton and his best buddy Cameron on the first day of school.

I'm so bad at Blogging!

Ok, so I really need to be better at blogging. It has been such a fun summer and we were able to do tons of fun things! I feel like soooo much has happened, I just need to be better about posting pictures and blogging about it I guess.
The most recent exciting news has to do with Jace.....he is FINALLY potty trained.
I know, I know, you are all thinking "Its about dang time". Well, I am thinking the same thing!!!! It has been a LOOOOONG hard struggle, but it is official! No more paying for the dang diapers!! The only thing about having him go potty in the toilet is that we have to hold a garbage can in front of his face each time he pees. He must have my gag reflex, cuz he dry heaves each time he smells his pee in the toilet. Kind of a weird thing to post about, but i am soooo excited about it! I was starting to think that he'd still be in diapers when kindergarten rolls around.

Another new thing happeneing around here, is that Dreyton started Kindergarten. He was soooo excited to go, but after only going for a couple of weeks, he is already bored out of his mind! He has been reading books on his own for the past year, so everything they teach in Kindergarten "is for babies" (as he puts it). The best part of his day is recess, when he gets to go play football. We have him in flag football right now, which he LOVES. He counts down the minutes to every practice. He just wishes it was tackle instead of flag. Oh, I guess he did learn one new thing from school. He came to me the other day and said "Mom, did you know that if you accidentally fall down under a girls skirt, then you can see her underwear?". Yah, I wasn't to excited about that one. Yikes!

Well, guess that will have to be the end of my blog for now. I'll try to update more often and with lots of pictures.

6 ?!?!?!

My little buddy turned 6 today! That is so crazy! He already thinks he is smarter than me and can do everything better than me, but he is still my little baby. He is growing up so fast! He is such a thoughtful, kind, smart, handsome little boy. I love him so much! Happy Birthday D!

CUTEST boys in the WHOLE WORLD

My VERY talented sister took some pictures of my boys yesterday and they turned out so dang cute! It was the first time EVER that Jace didn't automatically start screaming the second he saw the camera come out (of course there were lots and lots of threats before hand). And the boys didn't even punch each other the whole time! Now THAT is a good picture session. Although, Jace did tell Becky that sometimes he doesn't love me. When I asked him later why he said that, then he said "Cuz sometimes at night you get a monster voice and say 'Jace! Get back in bed!'......and mom, THAT is when I don't love you.". I knew I had a mad voice, but I never knew I had a monster voice. Awesome!
Anyway, aren't my boys the cutest boys in the ENTIRE world!!!

Day at the Races

I'm always trying to find new stuff to do with the boys and I just discovered the funnest thing! There is the Miller MotorSports Park out here, and you can hear the races that go on from our house, but we've never gone to them until now. They are SOOOOO much fun!!! We sit out there for hours and watch motrcycle races, car races, and every other kind of race. The boys LOVE it! When I took them out the other day, the car that Dreyton was cheering for won so we went down to meet the driver, and the guy was so dang nice. He made a huge deal about meeting Dreyton and even let him sit in the winning car. Dreyton hasn't stopped talking about it since. Can't wait for the next race!

No Rules in T-ball...

I LOVE T-ball. I love this clip of Dreyton playing. He hits the ball and passes up the player on his own team at 2nd base. I love that in t-ball, it doesn't matter how or who you pass up...as long as you make it to home base....oh, and you can't forget the most important thing in T-ball....the snacks. It's all about the snacks!

Drey....

T-ball Moments...

T-ball has been soooo much fun. I love it! Not so sad about soccer being over, but way sad that there is only one more t-ball game. It is so hilarious. Anyway, just thought I'd share a couple of shots of our little super star. He LOVES playing catch and is so good at it.

aaahhhhh....Vegas...

Ok, I just posted WAAAY too many pictures, but I couldn't help it. I wanted to post more, but I held back. Anyway, Dustin has been busy with work, working some weekends, on top of his other schedule, so we haven't seen him much. But this week his work sent him to Las Vegas, so of course me and the boys decided to tag along to spend extra time with him.....ok, and to take advantage of the warm sun down there! Our trip was so much fun. We got to hang out with Corey and Dawn and their family, and hang out at pools from sun up to sun down. The boys were soooo excited to see Zach. Dreyton and him are the best of buddies, and we had to listen to Dreyton cry most of the way home. So, while Dustin was busy working down there, the rest of us enjoyed ourselves and had the most relaxing time hanging out in the sun!
I thought this picture was so funny. I caught Megan dancing to the music, she really got into it!
Visiting the M&M factory.

I had to take this picture of Jace at the end of the week. Me and Dreyton were more than ready for more swimming and sun, Jace on the other hand, had this look on his face the whole last day cuz he was sick of the water, and mad that Zach wasn't there.

Krisit and Annika, taking a break from the big move.

All the kids enjoying Corey and Dawn's hot tub.

Another kid shot at the hotel. If we weren't at Dawn's pool, we were at the hotel pool.

The hut we built at the hotel for the kids to eat their lunch under.

Madison, our chubby little diva. She is such a chunky little thing! She is such a good baby, I hope I can get that lucky one day! She is such a cutie!

I LOVE these two shots!

Best of buddies.

Everyone loves baby Madison! The boys can't get enough of her. She is such a sweetie!

aaaahhhhh....Vegas.....I can't wait to go back!

Pre-school Graduation

Dreyton's preschool graduation was so cute. He was SOOO excited about it. He is more than ready for kindergarten....I'm not, but he is.

A picture with Miss Lenay and Dreyton's best freind Cameron.

A shot of Dreyton singing a song in sign language.

Soccer Star

Just a few pic's of my cute little soccer player.

Dustin had to coach a game, Dreyton loved it....Dustin,......not too excited about it.

Marcia, Marcia, Marcia...

We had a bit of a scare this weekend with Aunt Marcia. Everything seems to be ok now, but I just wanted to say how much we love her and am SO glad she is doing better! I had to post some pictures of her, which I bet she will LOVE. But they were the best ones I could get as she was trying to escape out the front door.

This is of her and Gentry at the last family campout.
We love you Marcia and hope you are doing better!

T-ball--the best entertainment ever!

We have Dreyton in swimming, socccer and t-ball. It is all fun, but I have to say....t-ball is freakin hilarious! Every kid thinks he is the super star, even when they are running the wrong direction to the bases or dog piling each other for the ball. It has been the best entertainment EVER!

The hats are so big on each kid, it makes all of their ears poke out so far! I love it! Look how cute that kid is!

Weekend fun

Last weekend we went to Delta for Grandma ridings 80th birthday party. Happy Birthday!

We got an awesome surprise visit fro Dan!! It was so fun to see him and Jamie again! Wish they lived closer!

More of Jaces Birthday

Life has been crazy busy but I finally found time to post some pic's of Jaces b-day. It was sooo much fun! We went bowling and then to Chuck-E-Cheese with Corey and his family, then on Sunday we had a big dinner, cake and ice cream and presents. Jace loved every second of it. He is such a happy kid and I think if I would have wrapped up an old shoe, he still would have been happy. The only thing he wanted for his birthday is a Storm Trooper helmet and gun, so he was ecstatic when he got it. The helmet is so big though, that when he wears it, he looks like a bobble head. It's hilarious.

Celebrating with Megan Zach and Dreyton. (I should have gotten a picture of him with Corey. He always tells us that "Coe-wee (corey) is his favowite cousin."

At Chuck-E-Chees, he climbed up the play area and didn't dare to come back down, so he sat there and cried with this sad look on his face and kept telling me to come up and get him. Me, being the nice mom that I am, sat there and took pictures of him...ok, I admit I was laughing too.

I thought he'd be A LITTLE more excited to see Chucky.

So cute!
