Temple

Over the weekend we went to the Draper Temple Open House with Corey and his family. I thought it would be a great experience for the kids, but when I asked them what their favorite thing about the temple was, they said "The cookies and the bus ride." (they served cookies afterwards, and we had to take a bus to shuttle us up there). It is a pretty temple though, and it was fun to hang out with family!
Here are some shots of the bus ride back to our car. The kids LOVED it!

I know....I know...

Ok, so any of you that read my blog are probably sick of reading about things that my boys say. So, if you are tired of it, then don't read on, cuz here comes another one.

The other day as I was taking Dreyton to pre-school, we watched as an ambulance went speeding by.
Dreyton's friend said "I wonder where he is going."
Dreyton said "He is probably racing after a beer truck. He probably wants a beer."

What?!?! How does he know anything about beer?? I dont' know. It's not like me and Dustin talk about it. Oh well. It was pretty funny.

Kids....again.

Today, out of the blue, Dreyton come up to me and said "Mom, yours and dads love meter is always on full, isn't it."

Then today, while Dora the Explorer was on Dreyton picked up on something that Dora was saying and said
"Mom, did you know that alligators can't move when they get cold?"
I said "Nope, I didn't know that."
He said "Yah, that's why they make shows like this...for babies and for moms like you to get smarter."

Sledding

We were finally able to get in a good sledding day, and it was SOOOO much fun!! Anytime we get out and have a famly day is fun though!! The boys are at a perfect age!! There is a good sledding hill only a couple blocks from our house so it is perfect!
Every time Dreyton went down the hill, he came back wanting to go faster and faster. I wish I could freeze the smile he had on his face.

Jace spent most of the time eating snow, once again. He went down the hill a couple of times, but nothing beats eating snow I guess. He was as happy as can be! (and yes, that is duct tape around his gloves. I have to duct tape his gloves and boots on otherwise he takes them off and wants to run in the snow in barefeet with freezing cold hands)
The best shot of the day. Dustin was going way too fast and wiped out on this little jump. He layed there for a while saying he was in pain, but it must not of hurt too bad, cuz he did it again.....and wiped out again.

Dustin's B-Day

Dustin's B-day was soooo much fun! I think once you get older, you only celebrate birthdays for the sake of the kids. They LOVE it!! I wanted to let Dust sleep in, but Drey kept walking past our room letting out loud screams. Every time I'd tell him to be quite, he'd just start jumping around and saying"I just can't help it!! I am sooooo excited." The boys had hid Dustin's presents around the house but the second that Dustin woke up they both ran in different directions saying "One present is over here dad!" and "Dad I got you a hat and it's hiding in the dryer!". It was so funny!

Jace thought he was being sneaky and decided to hide in the balloons, many, many, many times during the day.
I LOVE this picture. Of course we had to have our traditional candle race. My family did it all growing up and it was always so fun. All three of them sat like this through the whole race! Dreyton came out the big winner.
Jace was so excited to help decorate! I had to get a shot of him next to his decoratoins that he was so proud of.
Dust and Drey with a couple of the presents. Jace INSISTED on getting him that hat and Dreyton was sooooo excited to buy Dustin his very own lightsaber so that the two of them could fight together "and dad can quite using mine."
