FHE

I fun filled night of painting pumkins and decorating cupcakes.

Carving Pumpkins

We had a fun night of carving pumpkins. Dreyton wanted his to look like Incredible Hulk, so Dustin did the best that he could. Dreyton loved it though. These pictures look kind of weird because I took one pic with the flash on and one with it off.

Jace was so excited about his pumkin. But, then again, what doesn't he get excited about! He thinks that his pumpkin is Frankenstien. The pumpkin that he painted is right behind him. He told me that it says "Go BYU".

Day at the Bean Museum

Last week, me and the boys met Melanie and her kids at the Bean Museum in Provo. Dreyton and Jace were sooo excited to be on the BYU campus. I think they were more excited to see the BYU flags than they were to see the museum. The museum was cool though. It had every animal imaginable! Afterwards, we drove down to the creamery and i had a lady honking at me and telling me to pull over. I was so annoyed becuase I knew I didn't cut her off or anything. Anyway, she followed me for a bit, yelling "Shoe! Shoe!". I didn't know what the heck her problem was until I pulled over and she told me that I had shoes on my back bumper. Yikes! Dreyton had taken his brand new shoes off and I had put them on the back bumper while I loaded the stroller in, I guess I must have forgotten about the shoes. I can't beleive they stayed on the bumper the whole drive to the creamery! The lady asked me if it was a Halloween joke or something. Uuuhh, no, I'm just brain dead.
The walls were covered in EVERY kind of animal!
Dreys favorite animal was the bearded dragon. Now he is begging for one for Christmas.

Melanie getting attacked by one of the animals.
I don't know why this picture is on here. I don't remember loading it, and now I can't figure out how to get it off. It is another nightly ritual of Dustin and Dretyon wrestling though. Dreyton thinks he is tougher when he fights in nothing but undies.

I showed Jace an animal with a big nose and the first thing he says is "I pick?". So he had to pick the animals nose.

Dreyton and Lafe. They had so much fun together.

Dreyton thought this thing was so cool. I don't think he knew what it really was though, as soon as he saw it, he said "Hey! Look mom! It is the think that goes 'cock-a-doodle-do' on Sponge Bob!"

Proud Mama

Have you ever been embarassed of your kid, but proud of them at the same time? Well, that is how I felt tonight. We were at Dustins ball game and Dreyton saw a guy smoking and another guy drinking a beer. He was pretty disgusted by it, and came up to me and told me all about it then asked "Should I go and tell them they are gross?" I told him no, but instead of listening to me, my ultra shy anti-social kid went up to these strange men and said (very loud) "Beer and cigarettes are really bad for you and really gross. You shouldn't be doing that. It's not healthy." Both men just stared at him for a minute until one said "Yah, I know kid." He then put his beer down by a garbage can and walked off to go and play ball. Well, Dreyton saw that, so he threw his ball at the beer can until it tipped over and emptied the can. He must have thought that was cool, because after that he kept trying to throw his baseball at the other beer cans to tip them over again. After each hit he'd quietly pump his arms and say "YES!".

A pet I can handle.

Dreyton found a catapillar, so we put it in a jar and watched it turn into a cocoon and then a Monarch butterfly. It was the best pet ever! We had it about two and a half weeks and then let it fly away. It was pretty cool to see though.
I tried to get a picture with just Dreyton, but of course Jace wasn't having that and had to slide into the picture and put his hand on the jar to pretend he's a part of it.

Blackout

Last weekend the power went out, and of course it was the coldest weekend we have had so far. When we woke up the next morning it was 55 degrees in our house. Sooo cold! So, here is what we did all morning, lay on the floor in the front room and cuddle. The boys thought Dustin was their own personal heater.

Baptism and Blessing

Last weekend I had a niece that was baptised and a niece that was blessed, and both were in the same family. It is always so much fun to get together with family! Here are a few pictures I took of the weekend, but I am so disappointed, I thought I got more pictures than I did. I didn't get pictures of most of the people that were there. I don't know what I was thinking.
Here is Corey with the Megan and Madison. I don't know why I didn't get a picture with Dawn and Zach in there!
My dad and Madison had a both fell asleep in the rocking chair. So cute!
Little sis, big sis and me.
Jace (with his hat that he does everything but sleep in) and Katie. I'm so glad she came! Megan in her baptism dress. What a cutie!

Twilight Spoof

I came across this and thought it was so funny. If you haven't read the Twilight books it won't make sense or be funny at all, but for those of you who HAVE read it, you should check this out.

Little Football Star

Deyton LOVES football! Every morning, before breakfast he races outside and plays football, sometimes with Jace, most of the time by himself. He will get up before I do and play all morning till I call him in. He gets so excited when he wakes up early enough that the moon is still up and the street lights are still on, and has to brag about it all day. Then as soon as he is dressed and ready for the day, he's back outside again. He loves to pretend that he is playing for BYU or Vikings, and when I play with him I "have to be that bad team...Utah or Cowboys". I think he is so dang cute.

Pumpkin Patch

The other day we went to the local pumpkin patch. Even though it was SOOOO cold, it was still alot of fun searching for the perfect pumpkins. I can't believe we have to pull out our coats already!! Yikes.

Jace had fun looking for pumpkins but had an even funner time playing with the sprinklers. We couldn't get him to leave until we told him we were going on a tractor ride.
My cute boys with our stash of pumpkins. D and Jace thought it was so fun to ride the bumpy tractor. Jace was completly silent the whole ride until the end when he jumped off and screamed "Dat was AWSOME!"

Craft Time

I love having one-on-one time with my boys. When Drey is at school, then me and Jace always go out and do something special that is just for me and him. And when J is asleep, then me and D do sonething that is just special for him. Lately he has been saving every toilet paper roll in the house. He has all these ideas of what he wants to make with them, a laser gun that shoots real lasers, goggles that help you see behind you, a rocket blaster, and a bunch of other stuff. One of the things that he wanted to make was binoculars. Dustin promised to buy him his own pair of binoculars for the next time they went hunting, but since Dust didn't go this year then Dreyton was soooo disappointed that he wasn't getting them, so we decided to make him his own. I need to add that he sometimes save Tampon boxes too, thinking that they will make something cool. (He thinks that tamons are used for Dustin's bloody noses). Aaaaaanyway.....here are a couple of pictures of our work in progress and the final result of the binoculars. Dreyton loves them.

Boring Post

Ok, so this is a going to be a boring post, so most of you ought to just skip it, but it was really exciting for me. So, I've been trying to do the whole coupon thing. My friend is really into coupons and saving money, so I thought I'd give it a try. Who doesn't like to save money , right?! Well, I saved up my coupons and got on pinchingyourpennies.com to find out all the sales at the grocery stores. So, to make a boring story short, after spending over $130 on food, I added in all my coupons and it ended up costing me only $40!! I know I could have done better, but I think that is a great attempt at my first coupon shopping! So, for $40, I got 15 boxes of cereal, 5 containers of frosting, 4 cake mixes. 4 boxes of fruit snacks, 8 cans of cream of mushroom soup, 10 cans of tomato sauce, 6 cans of chicken noodle soup, and I can't remember what else. Anyway, it was really fun for me and now it is addicting. Most of the stuff I bought is going straight to food storage, but it is a great way to start your food stoarge if you don't have one. Ok, so this is all really boring to everyone, so I'll end this now. But, for those of you who know me, know how much I LOVE a good deal!
